Petersen Bricks

A few of the 10,000 bricks that have arrived from Petersen in Denmark to form the walls of a spa. These bricks are manufactured using a centuries-old method. Once the clay has been processed, the bricks are hand made in wooden moulds after which they are dried and fired. Varying temperatures in the firing process give the bricks a mixture of textures and beautiful shades.

Every brick bears the thumbprint of its maker from where it was placed into the kiln.
